Copyright, ownership and licence¶

This page records the ownership, provenance and licensing boundaries of the Cyber Defence Kit™ (CDK) project.

Ownership¶

The original CDK documentation, text, diagrams, artwork, project identity and source materials were independently created and are owned by Joseph Jee, except where third-party material is identified.

The project's dated Git history, source files and published releases provide a record of its development. The repository's LICENSE file contains the repository-level licence notice.

Documentation licence¶

Unless otherwise stated, original CDK documentation is made available under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International licence.

Under that licence, you may share and adapt covered material for non-commercial purposes provided that you:

give appropriate credit;
link to the licence; and
indicate whether changes were made.

Permission is required for uses outside those terms, including commercial use.

Trade marks and project identity¶

The Cyber Defence Kit™ name and logo are trade marks of Joseph Jee. New Zealand trade mark applications are pending.

The Cyber Defence Kit name, CDK name, logo and other project-identity elements are excluded from the documentation licence. They may not be used in a way that implies ownership of, affiliation with, or endorsement by the Cyber Defence Kit project without prior written permission.

The ™ symbol indicates a claimed trade mark. It does not represent that registration has been completed.

Third-party material¶

Product names, trade marks, logos, screenshots, quoted text and other third-party material remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance in CDK documentation is for identification, commentary, education or demonstration and does not transfer ownership or place that material under the CDK documentation licence.

Where a page identifies different terms for particular material, those terms take precedence for that material.
